Forestry services: Soil preparation

SIA "BILLERUD Latvia" offers soil preparation services prior to afforestation of a clearing. This is performed by trained and experienced employees using a powerful forest soil preparation machine - the Timberjack Bracke 321 active drive milling machine.

Soil preparation with special techniques creates a significantly better microenvironment for seedling growth, as it contains more nutrients, fewer insects and unwanted plants. Soil preparation increases the number of seedlings and thus reduces the costs of reforestation.

Wood at the roadside: Logs

SIA "BILLERUD Latvia" purchases round timber from forest owners and logging companies in the forest near the road.

Roadside purchasing of logs takes place throughout Latvia, with on-site assessment of the value of the prepared timber and settlement of the legal aspects of the purchase, as well as ensuring further transportation of the timber.
