OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a pressed oriented strand board based on wood-based sawdust. OSB boards are produced by pressing chips at high temperature and pressure using synthetic adhesive waterproof resins. The chip size is up to 150 mm in length, but up to 0.7 mm in thickness. Typically, the boards are made of three layers, with the chips arranged along the main axis (longest edge) in the outer layers, and perpendicular to it in the inner layers. Due to this arrangement of fibers in each layer, OSB boards are very durable, especially in the longitudinal direction. It is precisely because of this property that OSB has become the first wood-based board specifically designed for the construction industry. By its nature, OSB boards are “improved wood” – more durable and flexible (due to the fact that all the properties of solid wood are retained in the flat chip). The board is completely free from defects such as knots, as well as changes in the direction of the fibers due to the growing conditions of the wood. OSB-3 has an optimal ratio of strength, water resistance and price, which allows this type of board to be used in load-bearing structures in construction, including in humid environments: as a base under shingle covering, as a basic material in the construction of frame houses, pavilions, etc., in the cladding of walls, floors, ceilings, as a structural element in the creation of stairs and stairwells.

Moisture-resistant plywood – industrially processed plywood that has a certain degree of moisture resistance, as it is glued with moisture-resistant glue from phenol-formaldehyde resin. Moisture-resistant plywood is divided into sanded and unsanded plywood, as well as other types. P/P – calibrated plywood, treated with paper impregnated with a primer intended for painting. Therefore, the plywood can be used in the same way as moisture-resistant plywood. C – unsanded and uncalibrated plywood. Used in construction, black work, flooring. WG – sanded and calibrated plywood. Used in construction, flooring and furniture manufacturing. BB – sanded and calibrated plywood with wood inserts. Used in furniture manufacturing, the smooth surface is suitable for painting. S – sanded and calibrated plywood, the permissible amount of wooden inserts is 1 per 1 m2.
