PLANTING TREES

One of the stages of forest management is tree planting. Tree planting and seeding is a complex set of forest stand restoration works with the aim of expanding or preserving the total area of the forest. New forest planting began with the preparation of the stand and the selection of seedlings appropriate for the stand.

YOUNG PEOPLE CARE

One of the stages of forest management is the care of young stands. This process is carried out in forest stands and clearings where trees have been planted, sown or regenerated naturally. The main goal of care is to create the desired composition of the forest stand with a certain number of trees to ensure the formation of high-quality and productive forest stands. Care of young stands is carried out in forest stands aged 2-20 years.

SIA “LASKANA-MEŽS” offers high-quality haulage services from fellings to forest roads throughout Latvia, working with 2 tractor units (Komatsu 855 – dry, wet, swampy fellings. Equipped with special swamp chains (track width 1.30m)). One of the most important advantages of the company is that we not only ensure the removal of timber from dry fellings, but also from wet, wet and swampy fellings.

We carry out the work with the help of special equipment, which creates a significantly better microenvironment for the growth of seedlings. The soil contains more nutrients, fewer insects and unwanted plants. Soil preparation increases the number of seedlings and thus reduces the costs of forest restoration.
