SIA “CIETKOKS” offers the purchase of solid birch boards, which are an ecological and durable product due to their natural properties.

Birch boards are currently the company's main product. The boards are dried in a certified kiln.

Birch boards are produced from good quality sawn logs (plywood logs), from which the core is sawn separately during the production process. The material is first sawn into unsawn boards (variable widths with bark), and then further into sawn boards (fixed widths without bark). The core material is sold for packaging, as well as for the invisible frame parts of upholstered furniture.

Sawn lumber

Quality: Mixed ABC grades, sawn from quality logs, starting from 20cm in diameter. The core of the boards does not exceed 5% of the total board volume. Most of the double-sided cores are sawn and are not exported.

The boards are dried to a moisture level of 8 +/- 2%.

Thickness: Standard is 20mm and 24mm + positive tolerances of at least 1mm.

Any other thickness can also be considered for production.

Length: 2.0 – 3.1M + positive tolerance 50-100mm. No negative tolerance allowed.

Length in the range of 1.0 – 2.0M is allowed no more than 10-15% of the total quantity.

Width: Variable (100mm and above, including 80 – 95mm, no more than 5% of the volume) or fixed width.

No negative tolerance is allowed.

Packaging: One package usually contains only one length of boards. Each package is wrapped in film on all sides and well taped. The beams used for packaging meet ISPM5 requirements and are stamped with the HT seal.

Width: Variable (100mm and above, including 80-90mm, not more than 5%). Width is measured at the narrowest point in the middle of the board, with the measurement marked on each board. Bark is not included in the width measurement. No negative tolerance is allowed.

Packaging: One package usually contains only one length of boards. Each package is wrapped in film on all sides and well taped. The beams used for packaging meet ISPM5 requirements and are stamped with the HT seal.

SIA “CIETKOKS” sells birch blanks that are produced for furniture parts.

The blanks are sorted by quality:

AA - 4 sides without knots and visible defects. Natural mineral inclusions are allowed. Nuclear staining is not allowed.

AB - 2 sides without branches and visible defects, 2 other sides allow live branches up to 20mm in diameter, as well as black point branches up to 5mm in diameter. On side B, slight nuclear staining is allowed.

BB - 4 sides without branches and visible defects. Unlimited nuclear staining is allowed, as well as small branches up to 5mm in diameter.

FRAME - 4 sides allow for non-falling branches, as well as core color and a core that is not decayed and does not significantly affect the strength of the material. This is the basic material for making upholstered furniture frames. Frame Grade birch is basically calibrated (planed) - S2S or S4S.

Standard dimensions for sawn blanks: 24 (all thicknesses available) x 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 100 / 125mm

Standard dimensions for calibrated workpieces: 23 x 43 / 53 / 63 / 73 / 98 / 123mm

Lengths starting from 250mm

It is possible to manufacture blanks according to individual customer orders.

The blanks are sorted by quality:

AA - 4 sides without knots and visible defects. Natural mineral inclusions are allowed. Nuclear staining is not allowed.

AB - 2 sides without branches and visible defects, 2 other sides allow live branches up to 20mm in diameter, as well as black point branches up to 5mm in diameter. On side B, slight nuclear staining is allowed.

BB - 4 sides without branches and visible defects. Unlimited nuclear staining is allowed, as well as small branches up to 5mm in diameter.
