Birch framework plants.

Birchers is a nursery engaged in the production of reproductive material of the most commercially important tree species in Latvia. We prepare birch, spruce, pine and black alder frame seedlings with a preliminary production volume of ~ 500,000 seedlings per year. The methodology for growing seedlings, the size and type of seedling containers, the composition of the soil and its preparation process, pest and disease control, the suitability of nutrients and moisture regimes have been developed following the main industry recommendations and in consultation with practical and scientific specialists in the field. The origin and cultivation of seedlings have been adjusted taking into account the rules for the sale, use and certification of seedlings.
